How much time is required?
Each week, you'll gain access to a new 10-15 min educational video. The kids’ course lasts 8 weeks; the parents’ course lasts 6 weeks. Weekly homework will take about 1 hour per week, divided in daily increments. The more thought and time you put into the course, the more you will get out of it!
How fast will I see results?
Often families report they begin seeing results immediately! The extent of those results build as the course progresses.
What equipment is needed?
To successfully participate in the course, you need a reliable internet connection and a computer or smartphone. You also need yourself, a pen, and your workbook. (Ideally your workbook will be printed, but it can be accessed as a pdf only, with written exercises done in a simple notebook instead.)
Could this course help a child with only mild anxiety?
Yes! Start early before unhealthy emotional habits become more ingrained!
What if my child’s anxiety is severe?
This program may still be helpful, but it will be important to connect with a provider in your area for individualized care.
What if my child has already tried therapy and it didn’t help?
Ask yourself why therapy didn't help. Is your child open to getting help? Was the provider a good match for your child? Did your family follow through on recommendations? If your family is motivated for change, this educational program may bring breakthroughs that will help your child be more receptive to therapy in the future.
What if I have questions as I go through the course?
The Courage Circle Facebook group will be a great forum for asking questions. Though Dr. Wilde cannot provide individualized medical advice except to her clinic patients, she will be available to answer general questions and questions about implementing course material.
Is this course covered by insurance?
No, this is an educational product, not individualized medical care or therapy.
Is this therapy?
No, Dr. Wilde is not a therapist. This course is meant to provide empowering psychosocial/emotional learning that you and your child can successfully implement yourselves.
Could we schedule in-person visits with Dr. Wilde too?
Yes! Start the process to book a consultation here
Can Dr. Wilde give us medical advice or write prescriptions for us?
No. The Overcoming Childhood Anxiety Courses are educational products only and purchasing them does not equate to initiating medical care. If you need medical treatment or therapy, you will need to find a doctor or therapist in your local area. If you live near Southern Utah (or plan to visit soon) and would like Dr. Wilde to be your provider, contact her office here
Do we have to register during an official enrollment period? No, you can register anytime. However, certain bonuses are only available during open enrollment.
When will enrollment open again?
Official enrollment periods will only happen quarterly: Spring (early March), Summer (early June), Fall (early September), and Winter (early January).
How long will I have access? Those who purchase the course will have ongoing access to the Facebook group and videos as long as the course is offered (guaranteed for at least 6 months after purchase).
What if we do the course, but it doesn't help??
We are so confident that you and your child will get results, we will stand by our program with a guarantee. If you and your child watch all the lessons, fill in the workbooks, do the homework, and participate in the Facebook group, but see no improvements, you will be eligible for a full refund. Be sure you and your child are truly motivated for change before purchasing the course.
Why is it best to register during open enrollment periods?
When you register with a group, there will be several other students paced with you and so the Facebook group content will be more pertinent. Registering during open enrollment also qualifies you for the bonuses, which include live Q & A sessions with Dr. Wilde.
Can I do the program at my own pace?
Yes! The modules will unlock weekly, but you can take more time if needed. Since the lessons build on each other, it's best to keep the momentum going and not let too much time pass between modules.
